Storytelling in Museums
Our colleague Kálmán Kelemen is participating in the bilateral initiative STORYTELLING IN MUSEUMS, which will take place in Iceland from 27 October to 3 November 2024.
STORYTELLING IN MUSEUMS is a bilateral initiative implemented by the Project Management Unit of the Ministry of Culture of Romania, acting as Program Operator for RO-CULTURE, and financed with the support of EEA Grants through the National Bilateral Fund, managed by the National Contact Point at the Ministry of European Investments and Projects.
The study trip to Iceland will give the representatives of public museums from Romania the opportunity to get an overview of Icelandic culture and to learn from Icelandic experts how to develop activities in museums and how to attract new audiences by using storytelling techniques. At the same time, the participants will visit museums and cultural sites, take part in discussions and debates on topics relevant to museum development, such as: communication strategies with different groups of visitors, financing cultural activities, implementing cultural entrepreneurship, sustainability in museums, and the link between culture and cultural tourism.
